As the instructor, I will stand by the door to help anyone needing assistance.
Clear signage will be visible both inside and outside of the classroom to affirm the class and room number the students are in.

2. WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO SIT?
I will have assigned seating based on class roster. When student's enter the room, i will kindly invite them to take a seat at their designated location.

3. WHAT ARE THE RULES IN THIS CLASSROOM?
I will have poster-size set of rules posted on the wall. As part of class introductions, I will provide every student with a copy to keep in student binder and one to send home for parent signature and my records.

4. WHAT WILL I BE DOING THIS YEAR?
One the first day of class, I will begin outlining classroom procedures such as how to turn in assignments, what to expect on exam days and what to do if the teacher wants the class's attention.
Classroom procedures and expectations will be reviewed daily for the first few weeks of school and reinforced frequently during the school year as the opportunity presents itself.

I will wait to discuss grading criteria and policy when assignments or exams are given. My focus on success will be on mastery of the subject matter on not on "what grade will I get?"

I want my students to know that I that my classroom is a safe environment where only mutual respect for teachers and students alike will be permitted. My goal is not only for the class to learn subject matter, but to grow emotionally and socially as well.
